Pertinent ingredients for Multi-Reference EDF calculations

27th February- 2nd March 2017          PROGRAM     ESNTprogMREDF24feb2017.pdf   (updated 24th Feb)

Organizers: B. Bally (ESNT, SPhN ), M. Bender (IPN Lyon), T. Duguet (SPhN).

The goals of the project are to:
1. gather the community of MR-EDF (Multi-Reference Energy Density Functional) practitioners around a common objective.
2. identify, for a set of typical observables of interest, the most pertinent degrees of freedom to be taken into
account in the calculations.
3. determine to what extent the different sources of correlations are (in)dependent from one another.
4. discuss the merits and the efficiency of the different methods used to include the desired correlations, both from
a conceptual and a numerical point of view.
